In conversations with others, it becomes evident that there's a dynamic yet predictable pattern in the way they respond to certain topics of conversation or events that occur. These topics & events are both individual specific and group-instilled, products of personal perceptions and cultural impression respectively, so it's not difficult to believe in the individuation of reactions. However, the mechanisms that lead to their responses are the same and have the same types of roots. This essay will explore these mechanisms, the associated reactions people take to marginalize others as well as a powerful solution to empower us to rise up from this state of social destitution.
Many people don't realize that much of what they believe is merely the result of inculcation due to the special interests that run advertising, marketing, education, and entertainment. It is with this capability that we are to fashion our worldview and our perspectives of ourselves, the people we share existence with and the planet itself.
Unfortunately many people abdicate personal responsibility in order to "feel good" for the moment, to satisfy mere cravings. These are the types of people who utilize logical fallacy to drown out the alarms sounded by others who can see things for what they really are. It is within this state of mind that we find the Pseudoskeptic, who wield fallacy as a means of fighting those who oppose their sanctioned paradigm.
